The Trustees are pleased to report a grant award to North Yorkshire Music Therapy.
North Yorkshire Music Therapy's charitable aim is to promote the health and wellbeing of people across York and North Yorkshire through the use of music therapy.
To achieve their aim, all their work is targeted to achieve our four organisational outcomes:
People have improved physical health
People have improved emotional health
People are less socially isolated
People have increased cognitive skills
Qualified therapists use music and music-making to communicate with individuals and groups, developing their strengths and working on their specific needs.
They support children with disabilities and SEN, older people living with dementia, individuals and families experiencing mental ill-health, victims of domestic abuse, parents with infants or young children in need of support, and many other groups.
