Treasure Chest

We are pleased to report a grant award to Treasure Chest Breastfeeding Group York, a volunteer-run charity dedicated to promoting, supporting, and encouraging breastfeeding and chestfeeding across the York area.

Treasure Chest offers a wide range of support for new and expectant families, including weekly in-person support groups, regular online sessions via Zoom, and monthly antenatal workshops designed to help parents prepare for breastfeeding. When possible, their volunteers also provide support to new parents on the postnatal wards at York Hospital.

Alongside their face-to-face work, Treasure Chest maintains an active online support community through social media, helping parents connect, share experiences, and find encouragement during what can often be a challenging time.

The charity receives no statutory funding from the NHS or local authorities and is powered entirely by volunteers and donations. Their work plays an essential role in ensuring that families across York receive the help they need to feed their babies with confidence and support.

We are proud to support Treasure Chest in continuing their vital work for new families in the community.
