The Trustees are pleased to report a grant award to Accessible Arts & Media
Accessible Arts & Media is a registered charity based in York. They have been running inclusive arts and media learning programmes since 1982. The people who take part in their projects include learning-disabled adults and young people, people living with dementia and people with mental ill health. They also work with schools, community groups and businesses. Their projects include accessible music-making groups and choirs; specialist creative sensory activities for people with complex disabilities, dementia and mental ill-health; training programmes where learning-disabled adults and young people learn to be workshop leaders; and media projects that help people tell their stories. These projects help people feel happy, connected and valued."
