The Trustees are pleased to report a grant award to the York Community Furniture Store.
The York Community Furniture Store is a furniture re-use and skills development organisation, which has been serving the needs of residents in York and the surrounding area since October 1988.
IT ReUse provides computer devices to households who cannot afford them. This allows them to access the internet to manage bills, personal finances, work, do school-work and socialise. Providing devices allows households to do this from their own home, in their own time and privately.
IT ReUse also provide training and volunteer opportunities to individuals who are interested in IT hardware repair. IT ReUse has partnered with York Mind and United Response to provide supported training opportunities to nominated individuals who face barriers to finding work and have a passion for IT
