The trustees are pleased to report a grant to The Prince’s Trust.
The grant will enable the trust to pilot a much needed xl programme in York. The donation will have a significant impact on the lives of disadvantaged young people in the city.
The xl programme is aimed at young people aged 13-18 ‘at risk’ of truancy, underachievement and/or exclusion from school, college or training, The Prince’s Trust makes these young people a priority rather than treating them as a challenge. xl works to tackle the problem of low school achievement and ‘catch’ disengaged young people before it is too late. It draws on The Prince’s Trust’s proven expertise in youth engagement and employability programmes, best practice resources and heritage of working with partners ranging from sports organisations, to employers and corporate volunteers.
