York Racial Equality Network

The Trustees are pleased to report a grant award to York Racial Equality Network (YREN)

YREN provides an independent and impartial information support service and advocacy for people who are experiencing racial harassment, victimisation, discrimination or social isolation.

One of YREN’s main roles is to promote and encourage community cohesion and engagement:

1. so there is a common vision and a sense of belonging for all;

2. where the diversity of people’s backgrounds and circumstances is appreciated and positively valued;

3. in order that those from different backgrounds have similar life opportunities, and

4. to develop strong and positive relationships between people from different backgrounds and circumstances in the workplace, in schools and in neighbourhoods.
