Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Updated: Jun 1

The Trustees are pleased to report a further grant award to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) is an independent, registered charity providing a life-saving, rapid response emergency medical service to over 5 million people across Yorkshire. The two air ambulances and Critical Care Teams are on standby 7 days a week, 365 days a year and cover an area of 4 million acres. Emergency 999 calls are monitored in real time and as a result either of the air ambulances can be airborne within 2 minutes of a call. The helicopters can therefore be on scene anywhere within Yorkshire within 20 minutes. The Topcliffe airbase, near Thirsk, covers the York area.

The grant will be used to support the purchase of 9 Credo Cubes storage boxes for the transporting of blood.
