The Trustees are pleased to report a grant award to Foss Park Hospital, York.
Foss Park opened in April 2020. It provides a range of services, including inpatient mental health wards for working-age adults and older people.
The grant will help support an Arts for Wellbeing Project. This is to provide creative activities such as painting, sketching and writing for up to 125 service users who suffer from mental health issues. The aim is for attendees to benefit from improved mental health through developing a creative outlet, a sense of belonging and the formation of a supportive and understanding peer network. The grant will support attendees to attend creative activities throughout York including at York Art Gallery, open
art studios and local charity St Nicks helping them to engage within the wider community.
